Resilience and Acceptance
in the Face of Collapse
A free 9-week course offered in person in Wayland MA Begins Tuesday September 9th, 2025 at noon.
Join a Community of Learning and Support
Amid Societal and Global Collapse
We are living in a time of profound unraveling across our planet.
Many of us find ourselves asking, “What is mine to do?”
This course is an opportunity to gather in person with like-minded individuals in our community. Together, we’ll forge connections, learn practical tools, open our hearts, listen deeply, and explore how we can respond positively to the breakdown of old structures.
I believe that turning away and ignoring the challenges we face is not the answer. This program is for those of us who want to turn towards what’s happening—to wake up, see clearly, and face this moment with courage, strength, and love.
For the past two years, I’ve led a nine-session online course called Resilience and Acceptance in the Face of Collapse. Now, I’m excited to bring this transformative course live and in person to my home in Wayland, MA. Together, we’ll create a safe space to grieve, plan, share truths, and build a community of shared support.
This course is not about traditional notions of resilience. Instead, it invites participants into a process of opening their eyes to what-is, cultivating deep acceptance, and discovering wise, grounded responses to our shared predicament.
This is a space to awaken, learn, and connect. If you’re ready to turn towards the world as it is—with courage, strength, and love—this course is for you.
After Completing This Course,
You Will Be Able To:
- Define and contextualize collapse, resilience, and acceptance.

Dear Jimmy. Thank you so much for including me in your class! It was a real joy to attend at your house, drinking yogi tea, and meeting like-minded people. I feel very much transformed from a place of fear, dread and silence, to one of pro-future action and calm surrender. Incredibly grateful to you for taking the time and energy to offer this class.

Why I lead this course
Several years ago, I learned about this course, newly developed by colleagues of mine from Rochester, NY. Without knowing exactly what to expect, I registered immediately. What I experienced over those nine weeks left me stunned and inspired. Meeting online with a group of people from around the world, I found the material to be profoundly aligned with what I was witnessing and feeling in the world.
The deep grief I felt for what we are doing to our planet was welcomed. I wasn’t shamed or silenced, nor did I need to censor myself. Instead, I felt held in a space where truth could be shared freely.
I’m not a scientist or an activist. What I value most is the power of community and the opportunity to learn from others. Creating spaces where people can touch their truth brings me the greatest joy.
Encouraged by the course developers, I embraced their offer to lead this work myself. Over the past year, I’ve taught the course three times on Zoom, and each time, the experience has affirmed the importance of this work.
What moves me most about this course is its perspective: we are caught in a Gordian knot of interconnected crises with no easy solutions. And yet, it asks the question that stirs me to my core: “What is mine to do?”
For me, the answer isn’t grandiose. It’s about being a calm and supportive presence for others amidst this storm. Sometimes, it’s as simple as sitting in my backyard and thanking the trees.
Now, I’m bringing this course to my local community—to my living room. I want to sit with like-minded people as we open our hearts and minds to each other. Together, we’ll explore how to become more resilient, more accepting, and more connected to each other and our shared global reality.
I look forward to sitting with you.
